Pamela Castoreno

Pamela Jayne (Trostad) Castoreno passed away on July 29, 2012 unexpectedly. Pam was born on January 9, 1961 to Obert & Marilynn (Hanson) Trostad in McVille, ND. She was baptized at McVille Lutheran & confirmed at Sharon Lutheran. She attended Ben Franklin, South Junior, and Red River High School in Grand Forks graduating in 1979. She married Paul Castoreno on February 19, 1985. They had four sons Aaron, Jared, Dylan & Jamey. She worked at Belmont Baby Care and Head Start. She enjoyed reading, sewing and playing bingo, but most of all she loved reading to, coloring with and spending time with her grandkids. She also loved her dog, Nikita, very much. She considered the birth of her sons and grandchildren as the most important events in her life. She was preceded in death by her brother Gregg Trostad; Aunt Anita Bunde; Uncle Truman Trostad; grandparents Ted & Selma Trostad and Hans & Myrtle Hanson and her father and mother-in-law Felipe & Maryann Castoreno. She is survived by her husband Paul; sons Aaron (Taylor), Jared, Dylan and Jamey; grandchildren Dawson & Serenity; step-daughter Jodie (Dave) Sunderland and their children, Parker & Peyton; sisters Karen (Donny) Deziel, Kathy (Gary) Klang, Cindy (Paul) Andrade and Tracey Trostad; sisters-inlaw Michelle Trostad, Debbie Castoreno, Vickie Perrault and Ranee Steffan; brothers-in-law Richard Castoreno & Charles Castoreno and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Sharon Lutheran Church, 1720 S. 20th St. Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
