TIMOTHY K. KESSLER

Timothy K. Kessler, age 66, passed away peacefully on Friday March 29, 2019. All services will be held at Amundson Funeral Home, the funeral service is on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. The visitation will be Tuesday, April 2, from 5-7 PM. The Burial will be a t a later date.

Tim was born June 1, 1952 in Harvey, ND to Gilbert and Betty Kessler. Tim was raised in Martin, ND with his sister Carla. Tim was a 1970 graduate of Harvey High School and completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology at the University of North Dakota in 1974. Tim married Janelle Lewis on April 13, 1979. They raised three children Jeremiah (Grand Forks, ND), Andrew (Champlin, MN), and Caitlyn (Jamestown, ND). They also have three grandchildren Isabella, Kyra, and Addison (Champlin, MN) from their son Andrew. Tim spent his career working with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, holding positions in biology, law enforcement, and wetlands management. He held these positions in Texas, South Dakota, and North Dakota.

In his early years, Tim was an avid outdoorsman and a proficient hunter and angler. He spent his retirement golfing with friends and faithfully followed UND athletics.  However, he always relished his time with family most of all.

Tim was proceeded in death by his mother and father.

He is survived by his wife, three children, and three grandchildren. Tim will be remembered by his sister Carla, nephew: Kyle (California), niece: Krista (Jimmy; California), sister-in-law: Sherry (Cavalier, ND), brother-in-law: Francis (Cavalier, ND), nephews: James (Sally), Charlie (Danita), Danny (Kayla), and Joey all Cavalier residents, and many other family and friends.
