Harold Leroy Severinson, 84, of Reynolds, ND passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Harold was born on September 10, 1925 to Martin and Della (Berg) Severinson in Reynolds, ND where he grew up and graduated from High School.
Harold joined the U.S. Navy where he served honorably from 1942-46 during WWII on the
USS St. George.
Harold married Berniece E. Hagen on November 20, 1947 in Admiral, Saskatchewan.
Upon his discharge from the Navy, Harold worked for Uncle Eugene Enger as an electrician, bringing electricity to many of the farms in the Reynolds area. He used these skills throughout his life.
Harold worked as the business manager of Reynolds Liquid Fertilizer and Farmerís Oil Co. until his retirement in 1987.
Harold was an accomplished woodworker, and made many heirlooms for his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, and gardening. We will greatly miss his wit and sense of humor.
Harold is survived by his wife of 62 years, Berniece; daughters, Shirley (Bobby) Moore, Lynn (Steven) Solberg, Kathy (Ben) Hutton; sons, Everett (Cheryl) Severinson and Gordon (Liz) Severinson; brother, Bob (Ruth) Severinson; sister-in-law, Mary Severinson; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers; Leonard, Everett, Donald and Norman.
FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church in Reynolds, ND.
VISITATION: Friday, June 4, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with an 8:00 p.m. prayer service at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. in Grand Forks. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
INTERMENT: Americus Cemetery in Reynolds.
