Dorothy Yearke

Dorothy L. Yearke, 83, Grand Forks, ND died Saturday, December 28, 2008 in Edgewood Vista of East Grand Forks, MN. Dorothy Lorraine Knutsvig was born October 24, 1925 in Buxton, ND the daughter of Ole and Malina (Buer) Knudsvig. She was raised and educated at Buxton. Dorothy worked at Armor Meats of Grand Forks before her marriage to Louis Yearke on June 11, 1949 in East Grand Forks, MN. They made their home in Grand Forks, ND. Dorothy was longtime active member of University Lutheran Church of Grand Forks. She also volunteered at the ARC. She was an excellent piano player and enjoyed the company of her family. Survivors include her son, Kent Yearke of Grand Forks, ND and 12 nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; her parents, by brothers, Orlean Knutsvig, Gordon Knutsvig and by sisters, Angeline Christensen and Inez Knutsvig.
