Magnhild Ovind

Magnhild Ovind, 93, formerly of Northwood, ND died Thursday, August 21,2008 at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks. Magnhild was born December 11, 1914 to Elise (Morstad) and Gulbrand Ryen, Lunner Norway. She immigrated to the United States in 1949 and was naturalized on December 1, 1960. She married Arlie Ovind on October 22, 1950 at Rustad, MN and together they moved to Northwood. She worked as an aide at the Northwood Deaconess Hospital and Home and was an active member of Northwood Evangelical Church. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Gladyce (Victor) Ensrud of Grand Forks, nieces, Astrid Svarstad, Ester Haga, Else Marie Hoff, Norway, plus numerous other nieces and nephews from both the US and Norway. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and two sisters. At Magnhild's request no services will be held. There will be a private internment service at Northwood Cemetery at a later date.
