Adeline Viola Urness

Adeline V. Urness, 88, died on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Valley Senior Living on Columbia Rd in Grand Forks, ND.

She was born August 16, 1933, in Flora, ND, the daughter of Alfred & Clara (Reirson) Larson. She grew up and graduated from Maddock High School in 1951.

Adeline married Lewis Urness on Nov. 2, 1951 at the North Viking Lutheran Church. They later moved to Grand Forks where they made their home. She worked as a surgical technician until her retirement in 1988.

She enjoyed gardening and collecting glassware. They had a camper and took many family trips.

Adeline is survived by her sons, Dan Urness of Oak Park, MN, Doug (Becky) Urness of Yankton, SD, Mark (Merlinda) Urness of San Diego, CA; brother, Kenneth (Margaret) Larson of WA; grandchildren, Ashley, Megan (Pete Walker) and Zabrina Urness and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 65 years, Lewis and siblings, Cliff, Irvin, Al and Irene.

Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 16, at University Lutheran Church in Grand Forks with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Inurnment: Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
