Amy R Koplin

God took Amy home on July 24, 2023 with her family holding her tight.

Amy was born February 5, 1971 to Louie and Artice Brandt in Grand Forks. She attended school in Grand Forks and Billings, MT ultimately returning to Grand Forks to graduate in 1990.

Amy is the baby of 8 kids and she let everyone know that she was mama’s baby. She joined her mom at Simplot where she met Joe. They were married on March 16, 1996. Amy and Joe went on to have two sons, Jacob and Justin.

Amy absolutely loved spending time with her family. She was ecstatic watching her boys play football, basketball, and track. Her and Joe could be found in the stands wearing maroon and grey. Whether it be a home or an away game she was there supporting her boys. She loved going to the family farm to watch the kids go four wheeling and loved the thrill of jumping the ditch herself on occasion. Amy had her three other boys, her miniature schnauzers, who were always right next to her or laying on top of her. She also loved holiday baking so she could share all the treats with her nurses and staff at the cancer center.

Joe and her sons would like to extend a special thank you to Amy’s best friend Sheila Bjornson, who went above and beyond in Amy’s journey.

Amy is survived by her husband, Joe; sons, Jacob and Justin; brothers, George (Donna), Sidney (Cheryl), Tim (Courtney); sisters, Pamela (Ron), Jane (Carter), and LuAnn (Greg). Many nieces and nephews, cousins, best friend Sheila and fur babies Jack, Johnny, and JJ.

She is proceeded in death by her parents and sister Susan Brandt.

Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Sunday July 30, at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks. Funeral services will be at 11am Monday, July 31, at Gospel Outreach Ministries in Grand Forks. Interment will be in Memorial Park North Cemetery in Grand Forks.
