Angelia Faith Barnes, 70, Grand Forks, North Dakota, went to be with the Lord on November 5th, 2026. Angelia was surrounded by her family as she walked into Jesus’ arms, who she loved with all of her being.
Angelia was born in Osceola, Arkansas, on October 20th, 1956, to William Elbert Barnes Jr. and Hazel Mae Barnes, the second of two children. Angelia was a proud Panther at Cabot High School in Arkansas and worked at the Bank of Cabot for decades in the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s. After retiring from the banking industry, Angelia joined her daughter Heather and son-in-law Aaron’s family on adventures living in Alaska, Montana, and North Dakota. She thoroughly enjoyed being present and involved in her granddaughters’ everyday lives as they grew up, graduated from high school/college, got married, and started their own families. Angelia loved and was extremely proud of her daughter Heather and husband Aaron, granddaughters Hailey Holmes, Kimmie McGuire, and Paige Reistad and her “recruited-by-marriage” grandsons Kris McGuire and Aaron Reistad. Additionally, Angelia was blessed with and immensely enjoyed spending time with her four great-grandchildren Emberly Hand, Ole Reistad, Eleanora Reistad, and Theodor Reistad.
Angelia was also survived by her sister-in-law Kay Barnes (Lonoke, Arkansas). She was preceded to heaven by her parents William and Hazel Barnes and her brother, David Barnes (Lonoke, Arkansas). The family would like to thank the friends and family who've offered their condolences and would also like to extend a thank you to the loving staff at Ethos Hospice, Hearts-in-Action Hospice, and the staff at Altru Hospital, in particular the wonderful nurses and staff of the seventh floor who tenderly and lovingly cared for Angelia. Her and her family could not have been supported and surrounded by any better folks as she walked home to be with Jesus.
