Barbara A. Burnett

Barbara Ann Burnett, 48, Minto, ND, died Sunday, March 28, 2021 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.

Barbara was born December 28, 1972, in Tampa, FL, the daughter of Robert and Linda (Contreras) Burnett. As a young girl, she moved with her family to the Minto and Ardoch, ND area where she was raised and educated. She graduated from Midway High School in 1991. She attended the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND then returned to Minto and worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant at Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton, ND. She later worked for the Wayne Lessard farm near Grafton.

Barbara’s main focus in life were her three sons, supporting them in all their endeavors and guiding them through whatever it may be. She loved trying her luck at the Casinos in the area and enjoyed watching movies and various TV series. She was a very outgoing person and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her sons, James, Minto, ND, Benjamin (Caryn), Summerset, KY, and Casey, Bismarck, ND; her mother, Linda Burnett, Ardoch, ND; and brothers, Ronnie (Jennifer), Forest River, ND, and Jimmy Joe, Ardoch, ND.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Robert Burnett.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service at the funeral home.
