Bettye M. Salisbury, 93 of rural Grand Forks, North Dakota died Thursday, April 16, 2026, at her home under the care of hospice.

Bettye was born on April 1, 1933, the daughter of Arnold and Hildur (Brovall) Granheim in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She was raised in the Lake Bronson, Minnesota area where she attended school. After a house fire where her sisters, Margaret and Linda died, the family moved into Hallock, Minnesota

Bettye attended beauty school in Grand Forks. She was united in marriage to Malcolm Salisbury on December 28, 1966, in Grand Forks. Bettye worked various jobs throughout her life including American Crystal Sugar where she retired in 1992.

Bettye enjoyed trips to the casino every now and then. She also enjoyed keeping the yard up, especially mowing the yard which she did with her push mower into her early 90’s.

Bettye is survived by husband, Malcolm Salisbury; son, Bruce (Deb) Davis of Grand Forks, ND and daughter, Penny Clemetson of Grand Forks, ND; seven grandchildren, Chris (Brigette) Davis, Greg Davis, Eric (Brooke) Davis, Tyler (Sara) Davis, Josh (Tessa) Clemetson, Jeremy (Marie) Clemetson and Lindsay Clemetson; sister, Ruth (Randy) Knoche Granheim of Minneapolis, MN; numerous nieces and nephews.

Bettye was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Doug Clemetson; siblings, Mildred, Robert, Howard, Edward, Arthur, Margaret and Linda.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Amundson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Amundson Funeral Home.
