Brian Lee Benson, 59, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Friday, August 26, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Brian was born September 29, 1962, in Warren, MN, the son of June & Douglas Benson. He grew up in Grand Forks, graduating from Red River High School in 1981.

He was briefly married to his first wife in 1987 in Grand Forks. He moved to Wisconsin in 1989 and married Cindy Ecker and together they had a son, Matthew on 9/17/95. Brian proceeded to have 2 other marriages, finding his way to Minnesota near Detroit Lakes.

Brian took a job in the oil fields of western ND, from 2014-2020.

He was an avid Sioux Hockey fan who enjoyed spending time at the lake, riding motorcycles and spending time with his entire family.

Brian is survived by his son, Matthew of Fargo; siblings, Brenda (Eddie) Skinner of Grand Forks, Bruce (Nadine) Benson of Baraboo, WI; nieces, Kemra, Stacie, Kylie, Katie; nephews, Wyatt, Kyle and Collin; great-nieces, Abreiana, Brooklyn, Bristol; great-nephews, Angelo, Gabriel, Amaris and Bentlee and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bradley A. Benson.

Memorial Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks, with visitation from 12:00-1:00 pm prior to the service.
