Cheryl Mae Vreeland, age 73, Grand Forks, ND, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 30, 2023 in her home.

Cheryl was born May 23, 1950 in Carrington, ND, the daughter of Carroll and Thelma Vreeland. She graduated from Grand Forks Red River High School in 1968.

Cheryl was employed for many years by the IBEW Electrical Workers until her retirement.

Cheryl was a lifelong member of the Twin Forks Sweet Adelines and loved attending musicals and concerts. She also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and Bunco at the Senior Citizen Center. Quilt making was another hobby that she did with the ladies at Calvary Lutheran Church. When the holidays would arrive, she put her candy making skills to work, and treated family and friends with her delicious homemade chocolates. Traveling with family and friends was very exciting for Cheryl.

Cheryl is survived by her brother, Lynn (Virginia) Vreeland; nephew, Corey Vreeland; niece, Christi (Rob) Bakke; three grand nephews; three grand nieces and one great grand niece.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Caroll and Thelma Vreeland.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park North Cemetery, Grand Forks.
