Christina Jean Dahl, age 43, passed away on July 16, 2025 at her parents’ home in Grand Forks, ND.

Christina was born August 4, 1981 in Grand Forks ND to Deborah (Marwitz) Johnson and Donald L. Dahl, Jr. She graduated from Community High School and attended Northland Community and Technical College in East Grand Forks, MN. She was formerly married to Christopher Burris and from their union they were blessed with their daughter Monica. Christina raised her children, Monica, Destiny, Xavier, and Treyvon in Grand Forks, ND. Christina ran an in-home daycare and more recently worked as an associate at Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch from May 2019 - January 2025 and was named employee of the year in 2023. She like to spending time at the lake, diamond art and camping. Christina also enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing, cheering for the Chicago Bears, going to Destiny's musicals and most importantly time with her family.

Christina is survived by her children Monica Burris (25), Destiny Butler (16), Xavier Butler, (15) and Treyvon Hairston (9), her mother, Deborah L. (Dahl) Johnson, stepfather, Jodel Johnson, and brother, Casey (Samantha) Dahl, step brothers, Michael, Dan and Greg Johnson, and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister, Carrie L. Dahl, father Donald L. Dahl Jr, grandparents, Trudy (Pichl) Marwitz Johnson and Donald C. Marwitz Sr., Donald L. Dahl Sr. and Donna Dahl.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1505 S 9th St, Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be at 10am with a prayer service at 11am, reception and burial to follow.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Calvary Lutheran Church followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
