Claudia Toprock

Claudia J. Toprock, 75, Grand Forks, ND, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021 at home.

Claudia Jane Peterson was born March 2, 1946 in Duluth, MN, the daughter of Wesley and Florence (Schreiber) Peterson. She was raised and educated in Duluth and attended Denfield High School.

Claudia married William R. Toprock on October 5, 1963. Due to Bill’s Air Force service, they lived in numerous places before settling in Grand Forks in 1979. Claudia worked at the Shirt Shack on the Grand Forks Air Force Base before going to work for Dayton’s, Marshall Fields and Macy’s until the time she retired.

Claudia enjoyed gardening, shopping, her cats, and most importantly her grandchildren.

Claudia is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Toprock, Grand Forks; children, Wayne (Carol) Toprock and Tricia (Tim) Young; grandchildren, Samantha, Tyr, Tia and Daryl.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Ronald Peterson.

Celebration of Life will be Thursday, October 21st, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Amundson Funeral Home.
