Dean W. Anderson, 75, passed away peacefully at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND on Sunday, August 8, 2021. 

Dean was born on April 10, 1946, in Devils Lake, ND, the son of Orville L. Anderson and Rebecca T. Anderson (Braathen).  As a young child Dean moved to Grand Forks, ND with his family and attended schools in Grand Forks.  Dean worked in the trucking industry for over 40 years cross country and local asphalt and anhydrous ammonia hauling.   

Dean enjoyed classic cars having a collection of his own.  He enjoyed going to car shows and auctions looking for maybe the next purchase. He loved car rides along the country roads, checking out the crops and looking for a small-town café.  Dean had the gift to gab and enjoyed meeting people.  He had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes to his friends. He will be missed by all those that knew him and will be remembered as a kind, caring and generous man. 

Dean is survived by his longtime Love and companion Mary Bachmeier; his brother Timothy (Diane) Anderson, nephew Travis Anderson and niece Tiffini Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. all at Amundson Funeral Home.
