Dee was brought into the world by her loving mother Pat Fowler Eddy in1960, in Longview, WA. She attended several schools in her childhood but graduated from Douglas High School in Winston, OR, in 1978 when she joined the US Air Force. Dee met and married her loving husband (of 40 + years) Larry on June 28,1980, in Midwest City, OK. They continued to grow their wonderful family of two sons Josh and his wife Kristen (Seattle, WA) and Jason and his wife Ruby (Grand Forks) and their respective families. Dee has 9 loving grandchildren who all held special rooms in her heart ranging in ages 22 to 11: Madison, Morgan, Noah, Mason, Adelynn, Veronica, Jaxson, Lyric, and Zoey. Dee and Larry spent many years in the military with the most memorable being their years stationed in Germany. They traveled Europe on ski slopes from the Black Forest in Germany to the tops of Swiss Alps in Zermatt, Switzerland just to name some of the most memorable. Dee also worked in civilian services for the Army for 3 years at HQ 5th Signal Command, Worms, Germany, then continued Civil services at the Base Hospital winning numerous awards including Civilian of the quarter and civilian of the year. Dee left civilian service and worked various other jobs around Grand Forks including working for J.R. Simplot in the act dept as a part-time payroll part time office supply manager, and Hugo's as Deli Manager, which she enjoyed. She moved to Walmart where she also worked as Deli Lead but subsequently returned to Simplot under their HR dept. and continued with payroll and other HR duties. Dee quit working in 2013 due to her declining health. However, one of the things Dee most enjoyed was crocheting and she completed several projects including Christmas presents for most family members. She even managed to occasionally crochet special projects for friends. Family & friends final goodbye will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2023, at Amundson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to either the MS Association or ALPHA-1 Foundation.
