Delores Jean Evenson, age 88, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, and entered her eternal home in Heaven.
Delores was born January 7, 1938, in Bowesmont, North Dakota, to Herman and Mildred (Talley) Mosolf. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Drayton, North Dakota, and graduated from Drayton High School in 1955.
She married Robert (Bob) Evenson in December 1956. In 1957, they moved to Warroad, Minnesota, where Delores worked at the Warroad State Bank. While living in Warroad, they welcomed their three children into the world: Rob, Jodi, and Shelly.
In 1965, the family moved to Roseau, Minnesota, where Delores worked for the Farmers Home Administration and the Roseau County Recorder's Office. She was a founding member of the Mrs. Jaycees.
Delores loved spending weekends at the family's cabin at the Northwest Angle. Whether out on the water fishing or hosting family and friends, the Angle was a place of connection and hospitality. In her later years, she enjoyed playing online video poker and was an avid watcher of NBA basketball.
Above all, Delores's greatest treasures were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy. She was a nine-time cancer survivor, enduring numerous surgeries and procedures with unbreakable faith and strength.
Delores is survived by her three children, Rob Evenson of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Jodi Evenson of Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Shelly (Kevin) Coye of Alvarado, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Aaron Evenson, Jen Evenson, Ashley (Gary) Pucher, Amber (Jase) Rosendahl, Ryan (Kelly) Coye, and Travis Coye; her great-grandchildren, Aidan, Anika, Ezra, Nico, Leo, Remy, Lucy, Ryder, Lola, and Max; her sisters-in-law, Clarice Mosolf, Marilyn Mosolf, Leona Edblom, and Penny Evenson; and many nieces and nephews.
