Derek L. Murach

Derek Murach died unexpectantly on Monday, May 2, 2022, from Covid complications.

Derek was born in Grand Forks to Lane and Connie (Nordstrom) Murach, joining big sister, Traci Linn. Derek attended schools in Gilby, Emerado and Grand Forks before moving to the Anne Carlsen Center in Jamestown, ND. He graduated in 2006 at the age of 21 and moved to the Open Door in Valley City, ND where he resided until his death. We cannot thank them enough for their love and care for Derek over the past 16 years.

Derek is survived by his mom and dad; sister, Traci (Tyler) Gagnon; nephew, Taylor; niece, Emily; grandma, Anne Nordstrom, International Falls, MN; along with his aunts, uncles and cousins.

Derek is preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew and Zenona Murach, and Robert and Sigrid Nordstrom; cousin, Stephen Murach.

There will be no funeral service.
