Dianne Roberta Larson, age 78, of Grand Forks, North Dakota, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on April 8, 2026, after a courageous six-year battle with ovarian cancer.
Dianne Roberta Larson was born on February 2, 1948, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, to Robert and Doris Myron. She graduated from Central High School in Grand Forks in 1966, and earned her nursing degree from the University of North Dakota in 1970. Dianne married Lauran "Larry" Larson in 1970. Together, they farmed near Calvin, North Dakota, for 37 years before retiring to Grand Forks.
Dianne loved life on the farm and, over the years, was a dedicated and active partner in the farming operation. She also worked as a nurse at the Rolla Clinic and at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon. She continues to be fondly remembered by the families of those whom she cared for.
Dianne was known for her beautiful smile, vibrant spirit, and servant’s heart. She was an accomplished pianist and accompanist; her flower gardens were a bright spot for all who saw them; and her beautifully prepared meals and welcoming table nourished many. Deeply connected to nature, Dianne could identify bird calls, constellations, trees, and flowers, and she will always be remembered for the photos she captured. Dianne’s deep and abiding Christian faith was the golden thread woven throughout her life. She will be dearly missed by many, but the love she gave will remain in all our hearts.
Dianne is survived by her husband, Larry, of 55 years; her three daughters: Elizabeth Sillers (Jason Sillers) of Langdon, ND; Andrea Larson of Apple Valley, MN; and Kari Arvig (Aaron Arvig) of Hugo, MN; and eight grandchildren: Jane and Kate Sillers; Jorunn, Larson, and Finn Endicott; and Meg, Levi, and Chase Arvig. She is also survived by her brother, Duane Myron (Sharon) of Thompson, ND; her sister, Cheryl Hatlestad of Kent, WA; and many other dear family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Doris Myron.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Amundson Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Visitation will be held 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Buriall will be held at Thompson City Cemetery in Thompson, North Dakota.
