Carole Dianne Lehmkuhl, 79, of Grand Forks, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Altru Hospital.
Dianne was born to Charles and Mildred (Maxwell) Bergh on June 6, 1941 in Grafton, North Dakota. Dianne graduated from Central High School in 1959. She attended UND and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. She married John Lehmkuhl on December 28, 1963. Dianne taught at Lewis and Clark Elementary School until they moved to Minneapolis where she taught in the White Bear Lake School System until her retirement in 2008.
After her husband John passed away in 2016 Dianne moved back to Grand Forks. She loved being back and meeting every afternoon with her new friends that she met in her apartment complex. She also enjoyed spending time with Patty McDonald, who was her caregiver.
She is survived by her brother, Ron (Trudy), Bergh; a sister, Cheryl Malm; nieces, Traci (Ben) Klein and Kristin (Brian) Smith; Nephews, Pete (Jennifer) Bergh, and Rony (Sarah) Malm; and her fury companion Dazy.
Burial will be at a later date in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in St. Paul, along side of her husband.
