Donald G. Listello

Donald “Don” G. Listello, 75, Grand Forks, ND, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Donald Gene Listello was born July 22, 1947 in Centralia, IL, the son of Edmond and Lela (McClelland) Listello. He was raised in Centralia and graduated from high school there. Don worked for the railroad for a short time until September 13, 1966 when he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Don served his country in several places including Turkey and two tours in Germany. He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant in 1988. Don then worked for Computerland for 5 years, and later for Aatrix Software until his retirement in 2013. Don was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He was very good with numbers and any work that involved a computer. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening and cooking. Don married Pamela Rice-Marek on September 9, 1986 in Centralia, IL. She survives along with Don’s sons, Charles Listello and Michael Listello; stepchildren, Charles Marek, Grand Forks and Katie (Bob) Griffore, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Bryce Griffore and Breann Griffore. Don was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in the National Veterans Cemetery at Fargo, ND. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Air Force funeral honors team, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3817 and the American Legion Post #157.
