Donald Lee Shuler Sr

Donald L. Shuler Sr. 83 of Grand Forks, North Dakota died at his home under the care of hospice.

Don was born on March 21, 1943, the son of Rollin and Lottie (Johnston) Shuler in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was raised and educated in Oklahoma City. Don was united in marriage to Barbara Davis on June 17, 1961, in Oklahoma City. They moved to Roosvelt, Utah where Don worked as an electrician in the oil fields. They lived in Rawlins, Wyoming, Dickinson, North Dakota and New England, North Dakota where Don operated a steam boiler repair business. They moved to Grand Forks in 1989, and Don worked for Lunseth Plumbing and Heating in Grand Forks until retiring in 2014.

Don enjoyed woodworking, racing stock cars and building stock cars in his younger years, guns and reloading ammunition. He enjoyed visiting with his family and friends.

Don is survived by his sons, Donald (Patty) Shuler Jr of Lincoln, ND and Rollin Shuler of Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Miranda Stewart, Lance (Akoya) Shuler, Brandon (Hailey) Shuler, Corey Shuler and John (Kase) Shuler; six great grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Barb (2017) and sister, Mary (Phillip) Cole.

Family directed graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, East Grand Forks, Minnesota.
