Doris Arvilla Roehrick

April 2, 1931 — January 14, 2026

Doris A. Roehrick 94, of Grand Forks, ND died peacefully at home on Weds. Jan 14, 2026, in the loving care of her family.

Doris was born on April 2,1931 to Bertina (Satran) and Melvin Haugen in Fosston, MN where she lived on the family farm until she graduated from Fosston High School. She was very active as a youth in 4H and enjoyed the outdoors.

After graduating from high school, she moved to Grand Forks, where she completed her studies from Aakers Business College. She went on to work at a local law firm where she was responsible for bookkeeping and managing payroll.

She married Joseph Roehrick on July 24,1954 at St Michaels Catholic Church in Grand Forks where she was involved in altar society and served on other committees as well. She worked part time as a bookkeeper for a while at Peterson Construction, balancing her professional responsibilities with dedication and care, while always keeping her family as her highest priority.

She treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who absolutely adored her. An exceptional cook and baker, she was especially known for her homemade lefse and flatbread- earning her the affectionate title of “Lefse Queen” among family and friends. She also found joy in embroidering dish towels and listening to country music. Gifted with a talent for poetry, she often wrote heartfelt verses for others, bringing light and happiness to their day.

She is survived by her children. Sons Jerome Roehrick, Gary (Shelly) Roehrick, of Grand Forks, ND. Daughters, Debbie (Tim)Weiland Rosemount, MN, Cheryl Blowers, West Des Moines, IA. Diane (Ray)Quesnell, Clive IA. 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Sister Phyllis (Eldon) Olson of MN

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Orlin and Kermit Haugen and her sisters Bernice Ophus and Margaret Peterson.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished always.
