Ellen Lindquist, 83, passed away on December 14, 2022, at Valley Senior Living on Columbia.

Ellen was born on January 26, 1939, in McVille, ND, the daughter of Orlo & Myrtle (Koth) Tverberg.   She grew up in Aneta, ND, where she attended school.

She then worked at C&R Cleaners were she eventually met the love of her life, Duane Lindquist.   They were united in marriage January 24, 1959. Together they made their home at the family farm in East Grand Forks, MN, raising 3 boys.  She was a homemaker who helped Duane with the day-to-day tasks.

Ellen enjoyed gardening, needlepoint quilting, working in the shop with the boys and she loved her pets!

She is survived by her sons, Rory (Michelle) Lindquist of rural East Grand Forks, MN, Randy (Michelle) Lindquist of Alvarado, MN; grandchildren, April (Jason Henriksen), Adam, Cassandra, Nicholas, Amanda, Jake, Cari (fiancé Noah Scarborough) and Cassi; great-grandchildren, Bram, Dylan & Brandon; sister-in-law, JoAnn (Wayne) Nelson of rural Oslo, MN; special friend, Mary Nygard and several nieces & nephews.

Ellen is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane; son, Larry; brothers-in-law, Arnold & Vernon and sister-in-law, Loretta.

Memorial Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 21 at University Lutheran Church in Grand Forks with visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
