Evelyn Elizabeth McGiffin

Evelyn McGiffin, age 76, passed away May 16, 2026, at Valley Senior Living in Grand Forks.

Evelyn was born February 17, 1950, to Trenton and Yvonne Neste in Grand Forks.

She graduated from Central High School and Joseph's School of Hair Design. Evelyn married Patrick McGiffin in 1970. Evelyn worked for a short time at the Mexican Village and as a beautician before joining McGiffin's Hobby Shop where she later became co-owner. After the hobby shop closed, she worked at Hugo's on Washington St.

Evelyn enjoyed time at the lake, crafting and watching the Twins and Vikings on TV. Evelyn is survived by her son, Ronald; granddaughters, Haven (Adam) Uhrich and Hailey McGiffin, all of Grand Forks; sisters Darlene Moritz, Grand Forks, Gwen (Dennis) Seidler, Fargo; brother-in-law Rick (Cathy Sue) McGiffin, Fargo, sister-in-law Cathy Keel, Grand Forks; along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat; her parents and her brother, Raymond.

Services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 2:00pm at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks, ND. Visitation with the family will be held an hour prior to services with refreshments to follow. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery South.
