George Hayertz

November 11, 1948 — July 1, 2023

George Glenn Hayertz passed away July 1st, 2023 at home. He was born November 11th, 1948 to Glenn and Paula Hayertz. George grew up in North Dakota with his sister Pearl and brother Henry. As a young boy in Alice, ND he loved cars and trains to the point of getting local train engineers to give him rides around town.

George found his passion playing drums in bands such as The Cornerstones, Fire, Patterson Kane and more. He loved music always giving his audience a good show. His sense of humor would light up a room if he got to know you. He was a private man who cared very much about what people thought of him. If you knew him and you needed something he would be first in line to help you.

George is survived by his son Michael Hayertz and his wife Ashley Hayertz (Portola Valley, CA); brother Henry (Phoenix, AZ); Grandchildren Cade, Chase and Alli as well as his nephews Noah and Tiffany.
