James Dohman

James “Jim” Dohman, 68, Grand Forks, died Saturday, January 24, 2026 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.

He was born to Walter and Vivian (Hughes) Dohman on April 21, 1957. He attended elementary and high school in Grand Forks. He was employed in the hospitality industry including the Holiday Inn and the Ramada Inn in Grand Forks for many years. He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Timberwolves, Vikings, and Minnesota Twins.

He is survived by his son, Zachary (Jess) and granddaughter Marvina of Ashburn, VA; siblings, Beverly Bennett of Bensalem, PA, Judy (Steve) Mullally, Marilyn Moon, and Thomas Dohman, all of Grand Forks; sister-in-law, Ila Dohman, Coon Rapids, MN; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Riley. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William, and brothers-in-law, William Bennett, and Rick Moon.

Mass of Christian burial will be 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Grand Forks with visitation one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be in Calvary North Cemetery in the Spring.
