John L Olson

John L Olson, 85, Beulah, North Dakota formerly of Mekinock, ND, died Sunday, November 23, 2025, in St. Alexis Hospital, Bismarck.

John was born December 12, 1939, in Grand Forks, the son of Carl and Josie (Bergum) Olson. He grew up on the family farm near Mekinock, North Dakota where he attended school in a one room schoolhouse.

John worked for Crystal Sugar in East Grand Forks from 1965 to 1967. He then purchased his farm near Mekinock where he farmed for many years. After selling his farm to his good friend, John worked as a janitor at the Nathan Twining Elementary school on the Grand Forks Air Force Base until his retirement.

John liked spending time with his family and close friends, watching westerns, and hunting.

He is survived by his sister Audrey (Monte) Correll, brothers Tom (Kathy) Olson, Paul Olson, many cousins, and his special friends Troy and Kelly Snobeck.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother James Olson.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 28, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
