Keith Harley Hanson was born on May 30, 1941 to Ole and Inga (Knutson) Hanson in Bentru Township near Thompson, North Dakota where he was raised and received his education.

Keith enjoyed living on the family farm.  He attended the AC school in Crookston as a teen and also worked on the family farm.

In October of 1962, Keith married Barbara Heraldson.  Keith became a truck driver for the Thompson Elevator and enjoyed that career until he retired.  He then worked for a few local farmers.  Farming was his love and he always enjoyed being a part of the spring work and harvest.

Keith was very proud of all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He had many photos of them ready to share with anyone who came to the farm.

Survivors include: his daughter, Sherrie (Dan) Schaefer; and son, Kevin (Kristin) Hanson, both of Grand Forks, ND; a sister, Shirley Schmidt of Ceylon, MN; grandchildren, Kassandra Gorder, Dustin Schaefer, Adam Schaefer, Andi Hanson, Alex Hanson, and Emerson Rosenthal.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Ole and Inga Hanson and his wife Barbara.

The family wants to thank all of the neighbors, friends, and relatives who helped Dad out in the last months of his life.  There is no way to repay the kindness and mercy that you showed to our father.  We are very blessed to live in such a loving community.
