Kenneth “Ken” Raymond Rausch of Grand Forks, North Dakota, passed away in his home on March 9th, 2025. Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Victoria (Traut) Rausch, father, Leo Rausch, and his brother Dennis Rausch. Ken is survived by several siblings, and his children; Cherae Rausch, Travis (Katie) Rausch, and Rebecca (Curtis) Kihlstrom, and his grandchildren; Karsen Riedmiller, Aleesha Wisner, Logan Rausch, Victoria Rausch, Ryland Rausch, Theodore Rausch, and Evelyn Rausch. Ken is also survived by several friends, but Dan Ruud was as close as family, helping to care for him during the decline of his health, Ken’s family is very grateful to Dan for being there to help when they were unable to be.
Ken will be remembered for his selflessness and always taking care of people. He had an impeccable sense of humor, and was great at making people laugh. Ken was a loving father and went out of his way to make sure everyone loved by his children also felt loved by him. Ken was the 6th of 15 children. Ken was involved with the community credit union, even attending the member meetings regularly. He was a proud Lutheran. He had a fantastic work ethic, giving any job he held as much effort as he was able to give. Ken earned his Master of Business Administration, graduating summa cum laude from Webster University. Ken was a veteran with a service record of 26 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Senior Master Sargent. He worked in several fields after his military retirement but ultimately wanted to be close to aviation again, working for Republic Parking, at the airport.
With family scattered around the country, a celebration of life and memorial details are still being finalized and will be shared with family and friends when available.
