Kristin Bruce, lovingly known as Kris, lit up every life she touched with her radiant smile and warm spirit. Her journey through life was intertwined with the love of her community, her vibrant personality, and an unwavering dedication to her family.
Born on February 21, 1981, Belcourt, North Dakota, to Richard and Myrna (Malatere) Bruce and raised by Ronald and Teresa Delorme. Kris was deeply committed to her education, attending school in Bismarck, ND, where she laid the groundwork for her dreams. She further honed her skills at Northland Tech and TMCC, and while she had plans to continue her journey at UTTC in Bismarck in the Fall of 2025, her aspirations were cut short far too soon.
A former truck driver for Klein Mail Services, Kris showcased her strength and knack for adventure long before her recent role as a laborer with both Mayo Construction and RJ Zavoral & Sons. Her professional endeavors reflect a person who embraced challenges head-on, embodying resilience and determination.
A devoted parent to: Alayzia, Steven and Kristian. Kris found joy in sharing her passion for travel with her children, be it exploring the wonderful landscapes of her youth or embarking on new adventures. Her road trips, including a memorable journey to both coasts in 2022, were filled with laughter, exploration, and the thrill of discovery. Traveling from North Dakota to places like: Wisconsin Dells, Niagara Falls, Boston, New York and Pennsylvania, California and Colorado. She cherished attending NFL and NBA games, reveling in the excitement of live sports, with memories of her inaugural game in Seattle, WA, in 2021, forever etched in her heart.
Kris was not only a wonderful cook but also a compassionate soul who possessed an innate ability to connect with others. She loved meeting new people and welcoming friendships with open arms, making her home a gathering place for many. Often cooking delicious meals for friends and family. Her caring nature extended to her beloved pets, especially her dogs, Mylah and Barrows, who were always by her side.
As we remember Kristin Bruce, we celebrate not just the loss of an incredible spirit but the lasting impact she made on those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy will live on through the countless memories she created and the lives she inspired. May her journey remind us to embrace every moment, nurture our passions, and perpetually seek connections with one another, just as Kris so beautifully did.
Kristin is survived by her children: Alayzia Parisien, Steven Parisien, and Kristian Vallie, parents, Ronald Delorme Sr. and Myrna Malaterre; brothers: Ronald (Sheila) Delorme Jr., Kenneth (Tina) Delorme, Keith (Sherry) Delorme, Anthony Delorme, Richard Bruce Jr., Bradly (Jennifer) Bruce Sr.; sisters, Dawn Bruce & Angelique Vallie.
