Kenneth “Ken” Leon Schultz, age 90, of Grand Forks entered Heaven on May 8, 2026.

Ken was born August 25th, 1935, in East Grand Forks, MN. He was the son of John and Gina (Larson) Schultz. He grew up and was educated in Grand Forks. He was united in marriage to Patricia (Pat) Stromstad on July 3rd, 1954, at United Lutheran Church in Grand Forks.

Ken worked in the automotive industry, specializing in auto and truck parts. Over the years he worked in Devils Lake, Minot, Crookston, Grand Forks, and East Grand Forks. He retired from D & M Distributing in 1997.

He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. He volunteered for Home Delivered Meals where he and Pat delivered meals for “Old People” well into their 80’s. He and Pat also volunteered at the Salvation Army, and many other organizations.

Ken enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, playing pinochle, other card games and carving wood. He also enjoyed spending summers at the family cabin at Maple Lake. He loved cruising on the pontoon and having “Pontoon Pizza” with the grandkids. There were many bean bag games, bonfires and s’mores, and an evening “bump” with family and friends.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Pat; his son, Dave of Otsego, MN; grandchildren: Matt (Joni) of Maple Grove, MN, Dan of Plymouth, MN, and Megan of Minneapolis, MN; great-granddaughter Emmi (daughter of Matt and Joni); brother, Gerald (Pat) of Wilmington, OH, Ron (Shari) Bina of Federal Way, WA; and his many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Tim; parents, John and Gina Schultz; sisters, Jeanette (Lawrence) Miller, Dolores (Van) Purvis, and brothers, John, George, and Victor.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday May 30, 2026, at Amundson Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. A cookie buffet will follow.
