Linda Sue Skarsten-Holmstrom, 76, Grand Forks, ND, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.

Linda Sue Skarsten was born December 3, 1948, in Grand Forks, the daughter of Albert "Pops" and Gwen (Thoreson) Skarsten. She was raised and educated in Grand Forks and attended Central High School. Linda worked at Cox’s Bakery and as a car hop at the Grand Forks A&W Restaurant.

Linda married Tim Holmstrom on October 5, 1969, in Grand Forks. They lived in Grand Forks where Linda devoted herself to raising her family. As time passed, Linda enjoyed being with her grandchildren, cooking and baking, fishing, and playing Bingo with her mother.

Linda is survived by her husband, Tim; children, Timothy II (Julie) Holmstrom, Crestwood, KY, and Kristy (Brandon) Kisch, St. Hilaire, MN; grandchildren, Bailey, Chase, Madison, Trevor, and Logan; siblings, Al Skarsten, East Grand Forks, MN, Judy (John) Brewinski, Grand Forks, and Patty (Duane) Goebel, Grand Forks.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Trisha; and by siblings, Joan Syvertson and Gene Skarsten.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 15, 2025 at Amundson Funeral and Cremation Service, Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home.
