Lloyd D. Lafferty, age 69, resident of Grand Forks, died on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Altru Hospital.

Lloyd was born June 14, 1956, in Walhalla, ND to Laverne and Eva (Ducioame) Lafferty. He grew up and attended schools in Walhalla, ND, St Paul, MN, and Cooperstown, ND. He later enlisted in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1974.

Lloyd worked for several years for area farmers in the Walhalla and Grand Forks area. He later worked for Surefoot Inc. until his retirement.

Lloyd enjoyed golfing and doing yard work in the summer. He was often in his garage fixing small engines and listening to music.

On April 19, 1991, he married Debbie Mathison in Grand Forks, ND. They were blessed with two children, Troy and Lynsey.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Debbie; children, Troy and Lynsey; grandchildren, Zoey and Rayden; siblings: Denise (Jacob Penner) Cook, Wanda (Scott) Sonderby, Travis (Roxanne) Lafferty, Zachary (Theresa) Lafferty and Barbara (Steve) Mathias and many special nephews and nieces.

Proceeding him in death were his parents and brothers Karl, Jerry, Terry and Floyd.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00PM at Amundson Funeral & Cremation Service on Friday, February 13, 2026. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
