Lois Winzer

Lois D. Winzer, 83, Grand Forks, died Friday, September 21, 2018 at her home in Grand Forks.

Lois Doreen Stark, the daughter of Adolph and Anna (Schweitzer) Stark was born on August 28, 1935 at Neche, North Dakota   Lois married James Winzer on August 4, 1956.  James died on February 12, 2013.

Lois enjoyed a long career as a baker and cake decorator, working at several of the local Hugo’s Grocery Store locations until she retired.    She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, and activities at her church. 

Lois is survived by four of her children, Susan (Dave) Abner, Tim (Mary) Winzer, Marlys (Chuck) Betts, Kelly (Nada) Winzer;  10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren;  siblings, Melvin (Kay) Stark, Marvin (Marlys) Stark, Karen Seboe, Cathy Sommer, Janice (John) Herbert, Curt (Jackie) Stark. 

She was preceded in death by  her parents; her husband, James Winzer; sons, Larry Winzer and Terry Winzer.

Memorial Services will be 1:00 p.m.  Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in Calvary Community Church of God, 1917 S. Washington St., Grand Forks, ND  with visitation one hour prior to the service in the church.  Inurnment will be in Memorial Park North Cemetery, Grand Forks.
