Lorelee Roth

Lorelee Roth, age 87, of Grand Forks, ND passed away June 11 at Auburn Manor in Chaska, MN.

Lorelee B. Johnson was born June 19, 1938, in Greenbush, MN to Kenneth Sr. and Beverly (Netcher) Johnson. She grew up in both Mentor MN, and Grand Forks, ND. She attended Central High School in Grand Forks, graduating in 1956, where she met her husband, James Roth Sr.

Lorelee married Jim Roth on July 11,1957, in Crookston, MN, and the two made their home in Grand Forks. The pair enjoyed a wonderful life together for 55 years until Jim's passing in 2012.

Lorelee spent her years helping work with Jim at his sign painting company, raising their two children, and finished her career working in the cafeteria at Central High School, where she enjoyed her position as the Cook Manager until her retirement in 2008.

Lorelee loved spending time with her family, bird watching, relaxing at her trailer on Maple Lake, and laughing in a circle of lawn chairs with her loved ones.

She is survived by her two children: James (JoAnn) Roth Jr of Tucson AZ and Stacey (Paul) Best of Carver, MN; grandchildren: Matthew Roth, Chris (Bonita) Roth, Savannah (Jacob) O'Sell, and Jacob Best; two great grandchildren: Ellie and Jackson; sisters: Eileen Ostgard, Marilyn Misho, Jolene (Herb) Hiltabrand; brother-in-law, Allen (Linda) Roth; sisters-in-law: Sharon Johnson and Jeanette Roth and many nieces and nephews.

Lorelee is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Sr. and Beverly (Netcher) Johnson; husband, James Roth Sr; siblings: Kenneth Johnson Jr, James Johnson, Kittie Stine, Robert Johnson; brothers-in-law: Ronald Roth Sr, John Roth Sr; sisters-in-law: Karen Matiatos, Lois Schnell and Ann Woods.

The family will honor Lorelee's life in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers or memorials, please consider honoring Lorelee with a donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in her name.
