Lori L. Johnson

Lori L. Johnson, age 66, resident of Grand Forks, ND, passed away suddenly at Altru Hospital on Sunday, November 19, 2023, with family by her side. Lori Lynn Laughlin was born to Joseph and Clara (Knutson) Laughlin on March 21, 1957, in Grand Forks, ND. She attended school in Grand Forks and graduated from Red River High School with the Class of 1975. Lori worked for many years as an Office Manager in Orthodontistry. Recently, she found her true passion working as a Hospice Nurse for Hospice of the Red River Valley. She became known for work ethic and became well-loved by every one of her coworkers. She took special care to establish lasting bonds with many of the individuals and families she served there. Lori did everything she could to make her patients feel comfortable, cared for and special in her visits. She looked forward to sharing stories and smiles each and every day. Lori was known for her love of gardening, paying special attention to her beloved flowers that she planted each year. As well as her love for children, grandchildren and her family. Lori is survived by her two children: David Johnson of St. Louis Park, MN and Tom Johnson of Grand Forks, ND; four grandchildren: Pacey Johnson, Isabella Johnson, Easton Johnson and Emerson Johnson; one great-granddaughter, Delainey Freeman; two siblings, Larry Laughlin of Grand Forks, ND and Lisa (Jeff) Swenson of Denver, CO. Lori was preceded in death by her daughter, Cammie Johnson; and her parents: Joseph and Clara Laughlin. A Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church at 1:00PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, with Pastor Aaron Bye officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at Calvary Lutheran Church. Inurnment will take place following the service at Memorial Park North Cemetery in Grand Forks. In Lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
