Luke C. Burt, 17 of Manvel, North Dakota passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026, at his home unexpectedly of natural causes.

Luke was born on April 20, 2009, the son of Evan and Michelle (Johnson) Burt in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Manvel, where he took great pride in reading every chance he could for services and helping out Pastor Noel, who he was extremely fond of. Luke was raised in Manvel and attended school in Manvel from K-8th grade. He just finished his junior year at Grand Forks Central High School.

Luke had a great sense of humor, was very intelligent and a hard worker. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and guy time with his brothers, his dad and his uncle, Richard. Luke also had a very special bond with his grandpa Keith which came from his summers playing baseball and eating lunch with Grandpa after every practice. He lived life with curiosity, a playful spirit and a smile. Luke loved the Fourth of July and lighting off fireworks. Luke also enjoyed winter trips to visit his grandma Darlene in Mexico, where he spent hours and hours playing at the beach and in the ocean. Luke also enjoyed trap shooting, hunting and fishing with his dad, video games, playing football and baseball. He had a love for animals; Luke was mechanically inclined and enjoyed working on engines and fixing things. He was always excited to work on his Chevy Impala whenever it was needed, especially the stereo. Luke recently developed a love of music. He enjoyed a good steak and chicken alfredo. Luke will be missed greatly by his family, brothers and friends.

Luke is survived by his mother, Michelle Burt of Manvel, ND; father, Evan Burt of Crary, ND; brothers, Owen and Jack Burt both of Manvel, ND; grandparents, Keith Burt of Tolna, ND, Darlene Johnson of Underwood, ND, Mic (Peggy) Johnson of Bismarck, ND; uncles and aunts, Richard (Brook) Burt of Woodbury, MN, Alison (Daniel) Barnes of Cary, NC, Danielle (Jason) Levey of Underwood, ND and Darren Johnson of Harvey, ND; numerous cousins.

Luke was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gayle Saunders.

Visitation: Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Manvel, North Dakota with a prayer service and time of sharing at 4:00 p.m. A dinner with some of Luke's favorite meals will follow the prayer service at the church. Funeral Service: Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Manvel, North Dakota. Interment: Will take place immediately following the service.
