Marie Breidenbach

Marie Elaine Breidenbach, 79 of Reynolds, ND, died Monday, December 15, 2025 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Marie was born on December 13, 1946 in Grand Forks, ND to Joseph and Helen Noss. She attended country school and graduated from Hatton High School. She attended the University of ND for a semester. She married Bernard "Bernie" Leo Breidenbach on February 20, 1965.

She helped Bernie with the bookkeeping and in running his gas station, shop, and towing service. She also worked at multiple post office locations including Fargo, Grandin, Grand Forks, and Buxton.

Marie’s life revolved around her family. She had a green thumb and a knack for gardening and especially enjoyed her flowers. She cared not only for her own 4 boys but also multiple neighborhood friends and cousins. Marie thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the boys and their families, especially the grandkids. She would drop everything to help where needed and rarely missed a sporting event or concert.

Marie was a long time member of Bible Baptist Church, Grand Forks, ND.

Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

She leaves behind her four sons, Thomas (Lori) Maple Grove MN, Dean (Coral) Arvada CO, Cris Bryan OH, & Jesse (Terry) West Fargo ND; eleven grandchildren, Lindsay, Aaron, Heather, Riley, Adler, Andrew, Julia, Zachary, Peyton, Logan & Casey; and sister Janet (Dan) Brennan.

She was preceded in death by her mother, infant son, brother Selmer, brother James, her father, and her husband.

A  family led Celebration of Life service is currently planned for April 25, 2026 at the Reynolds City Hall beginning at 2:00 PM and will include interment at the Calvary Cemetery in Reynolds, ND at 3:00 PM.
