Marie Elizabeth Derman

Marie E. Derman, 95, of East Grand Forks, MN passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at her home at Good Samaritan Heritage Grove in East Grand Forks.

Marie Elizabeth Werre was born June 20, 1931, in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Werre. She was raised in Grand Forks and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School. She graduated from Aakers Business College in Grand Forks. She married Milton Derman on November 2, 1952. Her longest employment was as an Avon representative, delivering products door-to-door.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping and traveling, and attending UND sports events. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Lynn Derman, Bismarck, ND and Mike (Kim) Derman, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren: Chelsey (Gerald) Shutske, West Fargo, ND, Joshua Beller, Ventura, CA, Aaron Derman, Bismarck, ND and Hannah Bertram, Bismarck, ND; great-grandchildren: Miles Shutske, Evelyn Shutske and Cora Shutske, West Fargo, ND and Acelynn Bertram, Bismarck, ND.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Derman, her parents, a brother, Joseph Were, Jr. and a daughter, Dori Beller.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Grace Baptist Church. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Memorial Park North.
