Marilyn A. Larson, 87 of Stillwater, Minnesota, formerly of Grand Forks, died Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Oak Park Senior Living.

Marilyn was born on November 7, 1936, the daughter of Richard and Evelyn (Corcoran) Swangler in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She was raised and educated in Grand Forks. Marilyn was united in marriage to Donald Larson on November 15, 1956, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Grand Forks. They made their home in Grand Forks, where they raised their family. She worked at Tufte Manor and other area care centers as a nurse’s aide.

Marilyn enjoyed quilting, gardening, her pets throughout the years and watching her beloved Minnesota Twins. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Wayne) Roller of Stillwater, MN; son-in-law, Jon (Lois) Conn of Stillwater, MN; former daughter-in-law, Jane Szmyr of Centennial, CO; six grandchildren, Kristi Larson, Chris (Cathy) Conn, Kate Larson, Jeff Conn, Jess (Tim) Nelson, and Steven Roller; eight great grandchildren, Sam, Jacob, Joe, Keira, Bennett, Logan, Hallie and Carli; sisters, Dorothy Lund, Ann (John) Janusz, Rosemary (Marv) Kennedy; brothers, Frank (Pat) Swangler, Edward (Carol) Swangler, Jerry (Yvonne) Swangler, and Richie (Cheryl) Swangler, and many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald Larson 2004, daughter, Deborah Conn 2013, son, Dwayne Larson 2019, her brothers, George, Joseph, James, and Michael and sister, Iris Root.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks, ND. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks, ND. Interment will be held at Forest River Cemetery, Forest River, ND.
