Michael Dale Knudsvig

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Dale Knudsvig, who passed away on July 11, 2026, in Hillsboro at the age of 75.

Mike was known for his generous heart, friendly spirit, and the way he made everyone feel welcome. He never measured wealth by what was in his wallet, but by the laughter, kindness, and time he shared with others. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and enjoyed life's simple pleasures—sharing a cold beer, spending time at the local bar, and being surrounded by friends. Like many, Mike faced struggles in life, but those who knew him best will remember his sense of humor, his willingness to help anyone in need, and the many lives he touched.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Manford and Eunice Knudsvig. He is survived by his three children, Shane (Lisa) Knudsvig, Kerry (Rory) Trottier, and Randy (Amy) Knudsvig; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many other family members.

In lieu of a funeral, family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life honoring Mike at the Barn & Grill in Buxton on Thursday, July 16, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
