Michael "Mikey" R. Lee

Michael “Mikey” R. Lee, age 81, of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, died Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Edgewood Vista Senior Living Community in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, surrounded by his family.

A private family gathering will be held at a later time.

Michael Robert Lee was born August 12, 1943, in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, to Roy and Esther (Kossow) Lee. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in East Grand Forks. Mikey dedicated his entire working career to Kossow Construction, where he worked as a bricklayer and always had his music playing while he worked. Mikey was united in marriage to Brenda Bommer; together, they raised their two children in their hometown.

During Mikey’s early years, he enjoyed spending time fishing at the lake with his family, cheering for the Dodgers and the Chiefs Baseball teams, and going to the ballpark whenever he could.

Mikey is survived by his wife, Brenda Lee; son, William Lee; daughter, Diana Lee; sister, Bev Bommer; and nephews, Tim Bommer and Tom Bommer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Esther; brothers, Bobby and Roger; sister, Patty; and brother-in-law, Don Bommer.
