Milo Palm, 70, of Portland, ND, passed away on August 13, 2024, at his lake cabin.
Milo was born to DeForest and Anna Mae Palm on February 22, 1954. He was raised in Nielsville, MN and graduated from high school in Climax, MN in 1972. Shortly after graduating, he joined the United States Air Force where he served four years active duty and two years of military reserve. In 1979, he started at Farmers Union Oil Co. in Portland, ND where he worked for 40 years and retired in 2019.
Milo got to live his last days at his happy place which was his cabin on Lake Sara. He was a kind and caring man. He loved to watch sports, with football being his favorite. The “vikequeens” were his team, they even won 1 last game for him. Milo loved music, company, and cooking. You would often see him dressed in his very best. He will be missed by many.
Milo was preceded in death by parents, DeForest and Anna Mae Palm. He is survived by five brothers, Arvin (Jackie) of Detroit Lakes, MN, Douglas of Nielsville, MN, Leslie of Nielsville, MN, Daniel (Nancy) of Grand Forks, ND and Todd of Princeton, MN; nieces and nephews, Cory (Stacy), Brandon (Kaylee), Eric (Kayla) and Alyssa (Casey); and several great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will take place in the spring/summer of 2025 at Fargo National Cemetery, rural Harwood, ND with full military honors.
