Molly Olane Herberg

Molly Herberg, 60 of Mekinock, North Dakota died Saturday, March 28, 2026, at her family homestead.

Molly was born on October 31, 1965, the daughter of Vernon and Peggy (Jorde) Herberg in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She was raised on the Jorde family homestead. Molly graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1985. She worked various jobs in the Grand Forks area throughout her life. Molly’s greatest joy and happiest times were on the Jorde homestead. She enjoyed helping on the farm and caring for all the animals that were part of the farm. She felt a great affinity to the history and legacy surrounding the homestead and chose to spend her time there rather than being separated from family and that legacy in any fashion. Molly also had a special affinity and affection for her pets.

Molly is survived by her parents, Vernon and Peggy Herberg; brother, Evan (Anita) Herberg; uncles, Richard (Shirley) Herberg, Terry Herberg, Marlin (Dawn) Herberg and Daryl Herberg; aunts, Ona Vesey and Sandra Baker; loving companion, Paul Lund; numerous cousins.

Molly was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Oliver and Pearl Jorde, Raymond and Violet Herberg; Uncles Verlin Vesey, Clyde Jorde and Louie Brandt; Aunts Artice Brandt and Carol Schuman.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2026, at Middle Grove Lutheran Church, Mekinock, ND. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2026, at Middle Grove Lutheran Church, Mekinock, ND.
