Norman E. Bisgard, 91 of Grand Forks, North Dakota died Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at his home.
Norman was born on October 28, 1933, the son of Einer and Lois (Warren) Bisgard in Walnut, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Graettinger, Iowa. As a young man, Norman enlisted in the United States Marines. Norman was united in marriage to Trudy Bahr on October 26, 1953. After receiving an honorable discharge they made their home in Estherville, Iowa. He worked at the John Morrell Meat Packing Plant for many years until his retirement.
Norman and Trudy spent many winters in Arizona and traveling on many different destinations. He enjoyed golf, fishing and tinkering. He loved spending time with family and friends.
Norman is survived by his sons, David (Portia) Bisgard and Robert (Tammy) Bisgard; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sister, Virginia Cowden; numerous nieces and nephews.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, Wilma Bisgard, wife, Trudy Bisgard (2009), son, Mike Bisgard and brother, Earl Bisgard.
A private family service will be held.
