Paul Joseph Hajicek

Paul Joseph Hajicek, 85, of Grand Forks, ND died on January 15, 2026. He was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his death.

Paul was born May 7, 1940, in Park River, North Dakota, the son of Joseph Hajicek and Crystal Ramsey. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Eunice, and had 65 wonderful years together.

He is survived by his wife, Eunice; children, Terry Hajicek of Grand Forks, ND, Tammy (Jeff) Butts of Indianapolis, IN, and Tim Hajicek of Grand Forks; Granddaughter Kaitlynn (Michael) Hajicek Olson; mother of granddaughter Michelle Hajicek, sisters Carole Bischoff of Grand Forks, ND, Faye (Rich) Lehn of Grand Forks, ND; brother Roger (Jane) Hajicek of Rosenberg, TX; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Marilyn) Lundeen of Oshkosh, WI, Allan (Teryl) Lundeen of Crossville, TN; sister-in-law, Renea (David) Lawrence of Prior Lake, MN, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Paul was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Earl Hajicek, brother Todd Hajicek, and brother-in-law, Dennis Bischoff.

Paul was a great husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was the rock of the family providing a steady and loving foundation while always serving as a constant source of strength, guidance, wisdom, and wit. He was the proud owner of Central Construction and took great pride in his craftsmanship. While in his 20's, he built their forever home where he and his loving wife raised their family and created great memories. He had many hobbies throughout his life including snow skiing, water skiing, fishing at the Lake of the Woods, hunting, and golfing. The thing that Paul valued the most was spending time with his family.

A service to remember and celebrate Paul's life will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 11:00am at Immanuel Lutheran Church (1710 Cherry St., Grand Forks, ND 58201). Visitation with the family will be held an hour prior to services with a lunch to follow. Burial will be held on a later date in the spring.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Development Homes or The Listen Center.
