Randy A. Farmer, 66, Grand Forks, ND, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024 in his home.

Randy Allan Farmer was born December 26, 1957 in Grand Forks, ND, the son of Charles and Sophie (Byzewski) Farmer. He was raised and educated in Grand Forks. Randy worked most of his life in many aspects of the construction industry including truck driving and as a heavy equipment operator. He was also an excellent mechanic and worked repairing motorcycles, snowmobiles, go carts and other small engines. Randy became partially disabled from back surgery in 1988 and eventually and retired due to related issues. 

Randy enjoyed computer, music and playing his guitar. In his younger days, he would drag race motorcycles.

Randy married Ann Wimpfheimer on September 30, 1995. They later divorced.

Randy is survived by his son, Matt Farmer, Florence, CO; granddaughter, Fynnlie Farmer, Grand Forks; siblings, Lucy Bonlie, Grand Forks, Lee Farmer  (fiancée,  Deb), Grand Forks, and Ron (Jan) Farmer, Grand Forks; and five nephews,  Jeff Sutliffe, Jay Sutliffe, Jay Farmer, Casey Farmer, and James Bonlie.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Monday, April 8, 2024 at Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park North Cemetery, Grand Forks.
