Richard "Rick" Eider

Richard "Rick" Eider, born on November 15, 1951, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, passed away on July 9, 2026, at home in Grand Forks at the age of 74, surrounded by family.

Rick was the beloved husband of Patti (Cox) Eider. Together, they shared 51 years of marriage and two children. He was a devoted father to Kevin Eider (Rachael Eider) and Jodi (Eider) Green (Nicholas Green) and proud papa to Asher Green, Mattea Green, and Eben Green. Rick's family was the cornerstone of his life, and he treasured every moment spent hiking, four-wheeling, motorcycling, skiing, and snowmobiling with them.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Eider; his mother, Genevieve Eider; and his nephew, Cory Eider.

He is survived by his wife, Patti Eider; son, Kevin Eider; daughter, Jodi Green; brother, David Eider; grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

A family-led celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, 5-8 p.m. at The Opal Room at Olive Anne Hotel, 322 Demers.
