Robin Kim Hadlich

Robin K. Hadlich, 72, died Thursday, August 12, 2021 at his home in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Robin Kim Hadlich, the son of Esther Louise (Svidal) Hadlich and Robert Charles Hadlich, Sr., was born in Grand Forks on March 22, 1949. Robin was raised and educated in Grand Forks, graduating from Grand Forks Central High School in 1967. He continued his education at the University of North Dakota, graduating in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Education, receiving a Bachelor’s Diploma in Teaching the same year. Robin married Carole Ann Albrecht on November 22, 1975. He was a teacher and administrator at Aaker’s Business College in Grand Forks for 25 years. He then started his own company, Clean Care, where he was self-employed as a contract commercial cleaner for 24 years.

Robin was a lifelong volunteer and member of many organizations including The American Red Cross; the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service: Kelly’s Slough Project, the Wild Strain Mallard Release Project, and the Giant Canada Goose Release Project; the North Dakota Game and Fish Department: Greater Prairie Chicken Release Project; the Grand Forks County Wildlife Club: Hides for Habitat; Founding Member of Pheasants Forever, Red River Chapter; and the Washington Brant Foundation. He received both the Clara Barton Honor Award for Meritorious Volunteer Leadership and a Special Citation for Exceptional Volunteer Service from the Red Cross. In 1996 he was presented with the Wildlife Habitat Award by The Wildlife Society. Robin was a conservationist for upland game habitat and an advocate for the Conservation Reserve Program. He enjoyed hunting waterfowl and upland game with his brother Mark. Robin was a voracious reader, Civil War history buff, and UND hockey fan. He enjoyed many trips to the family lake cabin in Minnesota. Robin was particularly proud of his 45 years of marriage to Carole, the birth of his two sons, Grant and Thomas, and his fabulous and well attended 70th birthday party.

Robin is survived by his wife, Carole Ann Hadlich; his children, Grant E. Hadlich (Lauren), Thomas R. Hadlich; and his siblings, Mark W. Hadlich (Nancy), and Joan (Hadlich) Hicks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Esther and Robert Hadlich, Sr.; brother, Robert Charles Hadlich, Jr.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in Calvary Lutheran Church, Grand Forks with visitation one hour prior to the service in the church. 

**The family is requesting masks be worn while in Calvary Lutheran Church for the funeral.

Interment will be in Memorial Park North Cemetery, Grand Forks.
